session cookies.
Cookie Pal 1.7b
Improvements
- Cookie Pal now contains new
options to help get around a bug in Internet Explorer 6 that could cause
web pages to hang when loading. See the information about Internet
Explorer 6 on our support page for
more information.

supported.

versions of Opera when cookies were received have now been fixed.

Pal would no longer detect Netscape or Internet Explorer cookies after
upgrading from a previous version of Cookie Pal.
Cookie Pal
1.6a
New Features
- Opera 4.0 and 5.0 are now
supported fully. Cookie Pal can block cookies in real-time as well as
view/delete cookies from Opera.
- Support for Outlook, Outlook
Express, Eudora, Media Player and other programs is now built in.
- A new option on the
"Configure" tab allows you to easily change the programs that
Cookie Pal monitors for cookies.
- A new "Check for Update"
feature has been added to the menu on the taskbar tray icon.
Improvements
- The "No" button is now the default button in the Cookie
Alert window.
- The wildcard feature is now enabled on the Cookie Alert window for all
cookies (it was just enabled for cookies coming from web sites with 3
parts or more - such as www.abc.com).
- New help file format.
- The Advanced Security Privacy Update beta for Internet Explorer 5.5 is
now supported.
- Cookie Pal contains a new feature (on the Filters tab) that will allow
third-party cookies to be automatically rejected when using the Advanced
Security Update for Internet Explorer 5.5.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed resource leak that could
occur while using Cookie Pal.

would keep restarting even after manually closing it. Now it will not
restart until you start a new browser.
- "Start with browser" did not always work after rebooting on
a Windows NT machine.
- "Failed to open process handle" message that a few users
reported should no longer appear.
- Some users found that deleting cookies either hung Cookie Pal or took
a very long time. This should now be fixed and deleting cookies should
now occur much more quickly.
- Some web pages would appear to "freeze" when loading and you
could not click on the Stop button or the X button to close the web
browser. This should now be fixed.
- Using the Add Browser command to monitor a program that had a period
character in the file name did not work. This should now be fixed.
- On some machines the "Start with browser" functionality did
not work correctly with Internet Explorer 5.01. A new option has been
added to the Configure tab in the main window of Cookie Pal called
"Monitor Explorer Windows". If you select this option (as well
as the "Start with browser" option), then Cookie Pal will
start with Internet Explorer correctly. The side effect of this option
is that Cookie Pal will also start whenever you open a Windows Explorer
window. This is because you can turn a Windows Explorer window into a
web browser window just by typing an Internet address into the Address
bar in the window, so Explorer Windows are treated the same as Internet
Explorer windows.
Cookie

- Fixed problem that could prevent Cookie Pal from closing with the web

- Fixed problem that could cause Session or Cookies lists to appear
blank.
- Fixed problem that prevented some wildcards from matching on

information between different user logons.
